Used almost exclusively by those who enjoy the great outdoors and a favorite of hunters, this unique design actually has a very specific purpose. On its underside, The Oxbow Skinner sports a full-length blade and functions like any other skinning knife. On the topside of the blade, near its tip, is a “hook”. The hook has been sharpened in the curve in order to process game efficiently. After a small incision is made with the blade, the hook is inserted in that opening. With one steady pull, the game is “unzipped” from one end to the other. The Oxbow Skinner comes with its very own leather sheath.
